For starters, what exactly are we comparing these types of foods with? Just before you can advise there are foods which speed up metabolism, undoubtedly you have to have some sort of control foods to compare them with.

In most cases prepared foods are so refined they are not hard at all for our bodies to digest and for our metabolic process to convert into electricity. Hence, you may ask, surely that is good? Effectively no, not really. As most people realize, foods that have been processed are anything but good for us because they are packed with refined sugars, salt, fat – you name one thing that’s not good for you as well as the chances are it’s in your favourite processed foods.
Let’s face it, people evolved to digest and metabolise foods in the natural state of theirs so that it seems logical that there will be issues if we interfere with that natural state too much. For that reason, all of these unwanted side effects from unhealthy foods create trouble for the metabolism of ours. With our systems clogged up with fats and toxins, our metabolism slows down.
And so, go now it would be accurate to say that almost any non-processed food (i.e. all-natural food) would speed up your metabolism! In reality, which would seem to be not far short of the reality. After comprehensive investigation into food items that speed up metabolism, it would seem there’s one common denominator throughout virtually all of them.
